Bloomberg anuncia Índice de Commodity 2021

A Bloomberg anunciou hoje a composição e as metas de peso de 2021 para o Bloomberg Commodity Index (“BCOM”). Lançado em 1998, com informações históricas desde 1960, o BCOM é um benchmark amplamente utilizado para o mercado de commodities. Composto por 23 contratos de commodities negociados em bolsa, as metas de peso para 2021 entram em vigor em janeiro de 2021.

Não haverá acréscimos ou exclusões de commodities no BCOM em 2021. Desde o início do índice, as metas de peso de Metais Preciosos e do Ouro nunca foi tão alta. O grupo de Metais Preciosos aumentou de 1,6% para 19%, com o Ouro aumentando para 14,6%. Os Metais Industriais caíram abaixo de 16% pela primeira vez na história do benchmark. Impulsionado pelo volume dentro do grupo de energia, a diferença de pesos entre WTI e Petróleo Bruto Brent continuou a aumentar, sendo a maior desde 2014. No geral, o BCOM verá aumento de peso em Energia, Grãos, Softs e Metais Preciosos, e diminuições em Metais Industriais e Gado.

Metas de distribuição de peso de todos os componentes do BCOM para 2021, bem como seus pesos comparativos em 2020:

As metas de distribuição de peso são determinadas de acordo com as regras descritas na metodologia BCOM. As regras do índice respondem pelos dados de liquidez e de produção na proporção de 2: 1 e estão sujeitas aos seguintes requisitos de diversificação e pesos mínimos:

• Nenhum grupo pode constituir mais que 33% do peso;
• Nenhuma commodity, juntamente com seus derivados, pode constituir mais que 25% do peso;
• Nenhuma commodity pode constituir mais que 15% do peso.
